“I’m very pleased to have the opportunity to donate to such a worthy cause.”

Comments such as this one from a donor fills us with festive joy. We have been working so hard lately welcoming Afghan families and supporting our existing asylum seekers and refugees – so recognition of our dedication is very welcome.

We’ve received appreciation and gratitude from our clients too. One said he felt the support he has received made him feel he was ‘reborn’ and another stated that he would be forever loyal to this country as this country has been loyal to him.

We are very grateful to the donors who bought a whole host of Christmas presents for the children. One supporter put a shout out to her friends and community and arrived at our offices with a car literally full of carefully wrapped presents. Such kindness. One donor said he could not tolerate the thought of a child not receiving presents at Christmas, so he bought a range of toys for us to give to our children. Keriann and Jean spent a happy morning allocating presents into family groups and we are busy delivering them this week to make sure the children have them for Christmas.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our supporters, volunteers, staff and clients a Happy and Peaceful Christmas and we look forward to working with you all in 2022.
