Compassion in Action

At our recent AGM, we celebrated how Slough Refugee Support is committed to compassion in action and how we continue to be dedicated to the cause of improving the lives of asylum seekers and refugees.

As Chair, Louise Sprackling, writes in our Annual Review, “The safe space we provide for our clients is unique in that it allows for them to talk to us and be listened to with empathy and non-judgment.”

During 2023 to 2024, we welcomed clients from 34 different countries, speaking 32 languages.  Can you guess which was the language spoken by the largest number of our clients – 26%?  Check if you are correct by looking at the chart on page 19 of our Annual Review.

The support we gave and continue to give to our clients includes advice on immigration, asylum, benefits, health, welfare, education and employment.  If you would like to volunteer and help us in any of the above, please email srsinfo@sloughrefugeesupport.org.uk. We would love to hear from you and discuss how your skills could benefit the lives of our clients.
