Advising through the pandemic

Home-based volunteer advisers have been helping clients by phone or email, and, allthough this is not our preferred method, in three months 72 families from 20 different countries have been supported in this way. Nearly 40% of the queries have been about immigration, many of which have needed legal input or were about asylum support. Benefits, housing and health matters have also been frequent difficulties raised. Office appointments have dealt with urgent cases and we look forward to running our Drop In service in a Covid-safe way in the near future.
