We are delighted Louise has taken on the post of Chair of Slough Refugee Support. Louise’s compassion for SRS started in 2020 when she began helping us with donations for the Afghanistan families recently arrived in the area. Louise has been a Trustee since December 2021 and has been developing support for our work from Church communities and recently setting up a new partnership . Louise brings to the Board of Trustees experience of working in local government , the charity sector, and the commercial sector. Louise lives in Maidenhead with her two teens and three dogs . In her spare time , you will find Louise on the trails, as a keen ultra-runner or dog trainer!
At the AGM in August this year, Jean Kelly, our previous Chair of Trustees, ‘retired’ after seven years in the post. She helped steer us through the difficult Covid Lockdown times and was always enthusiastic and committed to supporting our clients and their families. We are grateful to Jean for her dedication to SRS and we know she will always be welcome as a volunteer and supporter.
