Vacancy for a Trustee (volunteer) to help us manage our HR function.

Slough Refugee Support is small charity with a diverse staff and volunteer team.  We have established HR procedures in place, but we need an HR professional on our Trustee Board to ensure we follow best practice. 

 

What will you be doing?

We are looking for a Trustee who can:

·       guide the Board regarding HR strategy, HR Policy, best practice HR process and procedures , HR operations and safeguarding. 

·       attend the HR Board Sub-Committee meetings, four times a year. 

·       help us to keep up to date on HR changes that impact the Charity and staff . 

·       help us plan and deal with HR issues as we adapt our services, ways of working and whilst we create and maintain sustainability.

 

What are we looking for?

An HR professional who is passionate about helping charities adapt to change and ensure that the staff team work effectively together, within available budget allocations . The individual should have a professional career in HR and be able to demonstrate skills and experience relating to HR strategy, processes and procedures.  A business background would also be welcomed. 

 

Location:  Our offices in Slough.  Some remote working considered.

Estimate of time needed:  0-5 hours/month plus, Board meetings every two months.
